My name is Alexis Crossley.

I was born and raised in Cole Harbour Nova Scotia. My parents are Brad and Leslie Crossley and I have three awesome younger siblings – Haley, Brett and Brady. I started skating when I was four years old and I played AAA level hockey through minor in Cole Harbour before moving on to attend Shattuck St. Mary’s School in Faribault Minnesota at the age of 14. I attended Shattuck from grades 9-12, played in four USA National Female Hockey Championships, winning twice, and was student body President in my senior year while graduating with high honors. I’ve proudly played in the Canada Games representing Nova Scotia and competed for Team Canada defeating the USA in the Women’s World U18 Hockey Championships in Prague – I even scored the winning goal! Presently I am in my fifth year, completing a Masters Degree in Urban Affairs, at Boston University and I play hockey for the BU Terriers D1 Hockey team where I am a team captain. I am also on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee at Boston University and aspire to become a Pediatric Dentist in the coming years.

I am a determined, hard working, and passionate person driven to succeed in all that I do. I take pride in my physical conditioning, mental toughness and ability to prepare for success. I also truly enjoy helping others reach their goals and achieve success as well.

I am really excited about the challenge of competing and completing the Trans Am Bike Race with my dad. It is a great opportunity for me, in celebration of completing 5 solid years of college, to give back to community by raising awareness and funds to help children who struggle with weight management due to lack of activity, lack of nutritional support, and lack of opportunity to play and improve. By partnering with the IWK Foundation, IWK Health Center, their corporate friends, and our family and friends, we hope to raise funds to support programs to help these children effectively deal with these concerns, develop healthy habits and enjoy an active lifestyle.

I truly hope you will join our team and support our adventure and overall goals. Thank you.
